Mayday.Earth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and fostering informed dialogue around solar geoengineering. Heyday Studios was engaged to develop a logo and brand identity that would convey urgency, action, and education while remaining inclusive and accessible.
Through a collaborative brand strategy session with key stakeholders, we defined core values centering on climate equity, education, agency, urgency, and inclusion. The brand aims to empower individuals and communities with knowledge while promoting thoughtful engagement with a complex and often misunderstood topic.
The responsive logo system uses megaphone imagery to communicate urgency and collective action. The wordmark is integrated into the logo as if the message “Mayday Earth” is being amplified outward. A subtle Earth graphic is embedded within the icon, reinforcing the global scope of the organization’s mission while maintaining visual simplicity and clarity across applications.
The resulting brand system includes typography standards, a color palette, marketing collateral, digital assets, and comprehensive brand guidelines. Designed for flexibility and scalability, the system ensures consistency across educational materials, campaigns, and outreach initiatives as the organization grows.
